 The Clemson Tigers came into the College Football Playoff National Championship seeking redemption against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The year before, the same two teams played for the title and Alabama came out on top, 45-40. In this year's rematch, Alabama entered the game ranked as the #1 team in the nation and riding a 26-game winning streak. Clemson was once again the underdog.
